Die Ejection Stacking (DES) System

The DES system is a parts handling system designed specifically for top die ejection stamping. Positioned and secured to the front of the press, the compact design provides the flexibility required to adjust to different drop zones on a press and may adapt to multiple presses.

The DES unit is built with a mechanical arm which extends to catch parts as they are ejected from the upper die and retracts to transfer the parts to a short conveyor. The parts then drop over a mandrel and are accessible for manual processing.

The pulse of the press is measured with a resolver and is linked to the DES controls to provide interference free motion in and out of the die. Changes in press rates are instantly observed by the resolver and drive speed adjustments in the system.
